Epic Games Store: Leaker reveals new free game giveaway ahead of schedule to end September 2025
A font for all things Epic Games has revealed the storefront’s plans ahead of time again. This time, they have focused on what games the storefront will be giving away to end September 2025.
The Epic Games Store is in the process of updating its store with another batch of free games. To recap, the storefront announced plans last week about offering two new games. However, it has seemingly switched up this week’s free games at the last minute after giving away Ghostrunner 2 (curr. $33.59 on Amazon) and two other titles last week.
Somehow, u/MeguminShiro has already got their hands on Epic Games’ plans to round this month out. According to the popular Redditor, Epic will give away two more games next week in a deal worth a combined $32.98. As the videos below make clear, the games in question are Eastern Exorcist and Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxy – Complete Editionwhich have both achieved Very Positive ratings on Steam.
A 2D side-scroller,Eastern Exorcistis also an action RPG that leans into hand-drawn ink paintings to create an atmospheric aesthetic. With that being said, the game averages 5.7/10 from users on Metacritic with 73/100 from critics and 76/100 on OpenCritic. Meanwhile,Jorel’s Brother and The Most Important Game of the Galaxyis a point-and-click adventure that averages an 8.5/10 user score on Metacritic. Epic Games should announce these future deals later today.

Knysna High School probes racist slur after pupil caught on video
Knysna High School has launched an investigation after a video showing a pupil using the K-word during a school event went viral.
In the video, pupils are seen cheering inside the school hall when the camera turns to a female pupil. She shakes her head and says the slur, before giggling and covering her mouth. The pupil filming and standing beside her also laughs.

One in four teenagers show signs of depression: poll
Poll results released by an NGO on Sunday suggest that around one in four secondary school students could be suffering from symptoms of "medium to severe" levels of depression and anxiety.
The Baptist Oi Kwan Social Service asked more than 1,800 students to fill in self-evaluation forms between November and March.
It found that 25.9 and 22 percent of students showed signs of depression and anxiety respectively, compared to 25.5 and 20.5 percent last year.
A little more than 20 percent of them also said they felt stressed out.
The NGO's clinical psychologist, Jeff Kei, said the findings are concerning.
"Nowadays, there are so many changes in society. For example, we're adapting to new technologies such as AI," he told RTHK.
"So the fast-paced society and numerous changes definitely add to the stress of teenagers."
