THE HOUSE THAT REFUSES TO FALL 🏛️⚖️
For decades, the Perekule Palace has treated Finima not as a brother, but as a conquest. The playbook is tired, but the stakes are higher than ever: the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA) billions.
THE RECORD IS CLEAR:
📜 1997: A MoU signed to erase our autonomy. We said no.
⚖️ Asemeyibo Era: They forced a “Center” mandate to seize our assets. We sued. They signed a settlement pledging NEVER to interfere in Buoye Omuso Brown House affairs or land.
🤝 THE BETRAYAL: That signed settlement was used as toilet paper.
THE ESCALATION:
🩸 June 10, 2021: State-backed violence at the Industrial Area. Blood on the ground. A “Day of Sacrifice.”
🛑 Jan 21-22, 2022: A midnight invasion. Armed thugs. A parallel chief (Evans Brown) installed by the King’s Council to destabilize us. Anarchy.
💰 2021–Present: The PIA Gambit. Using the new law to position the Palace as the “umbrella” Host Community—effectively hijacking HCDT funds meant for our soil, our people, and our future.
THE RESPONSE HAS EVOLVED:
1️⃣ Tradition: Elders & Customs (Idamieibi Era).
2️⃣ Law: Courts & Settlements (Asemeyibo Era).
3️⃣ INSTITUTIONAL ARMOR: Dr. Dagogo Lambert Brown upgraded Family Units (Burusu) to Sub-Chieftaincy Houses. You cannot install a parallel chief in a structure that doesn’t exist. We built a fortress of governance.
The Court of Appeal dismissed the parallel claim (Sept 2025). The High Court affirmed our land title. The settlement stands as evidence of bad faith.
We are not a ward. We are the landlords. We are the host community.
Finima stands. The Brown House stands. 🛡️
