Politics tamfitronics New guidelines and regulations for the recall of federal and state lawmakers were released on Thursday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).INEC National Commissioner and Chairman of the Information and Voter Education Committee, Sam Olumekun made the announcement during a meeting.It is understood that this was a response to plenty requests from constituents seeking to initiate recalls of their representatives in the National Assembly and State Houses of Assembly.According to INEC, some groups called on electoral umpire to commence the recall process on their behalf.“The commission met today, Thursday, September 19, 2024. JUST IN: EFCC Arrests 39 ‘Yahoo Boys’ With 4 Exotic Cars, Over 40 iPhones, Others [PHOTOS]

Politics tamfitronics Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) have arrested a total of 39 suspected internet fraudsters, popularly known as “Yahoo Boys”.While 29 of the suspects were arrested at several locations in the Gwagwalada area of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, 10 were picked up during a pre-dawn operation at the River Park Estate in the Lugbe area, still in Abuja.They were arrested on Wednesday, September 18th, 2024 following credible intelligence about their suspected involvement in internet fraud.This was disclosed in two separate statements issued by the EFCC Spokesman, Dele Oyewale on Thursday evening.According to Oyewale, items recovered from them include a Range Rover, two Lexus cars, a Toyota Camry, laptop computers, iPhones, and 32 other phones of different types.The anti-graft agency spokesman said the suspects will be charged in court upon the conclusion of investigations.
