Vehicles parked in the floodway were submerged when heavy rains poured down in Baguio

14 vehicles parked in the waterway were submerged in up to seven feet of water when the heavy rain suddenly poured in Baguio City.

In a report by Claire Lacanilao of GMA Regional TV One North Central Luzon on GMA Info 24 Oras this Thursday, it was said that the incident happened in the City Camp Lagoon part of Barangay Decrease Rock Quarry, this Wednesday night.

The flooding is said to be caused by the blocked garbage in the drainage canal.

This Thursday morning, the garbage has been cleaned, but could perchance perchance additionally three more vehicles that remain parked where the flooding occurred.

“‘The cars, the other residents there are the ones they got who own other cars and this other car that hasn’t been told. They are waiting to get it if they are from there, according to Police Captain Angeline Dongpaen , PIO, Baguio City Police.

According to a barangay official, they allowed parking on the waterway as a temporary solution to the implementation of the anti-boulevard obstruction.

But because of what happened, it is no longer allowed to park a car in the area.
