Opinion: Bold changes that could save money for Saskatchewan’s health system

By Dom Lucyk REGINA, SK – 28th July 2025 – Saskatchewan's healthcare system, like many across Canada, faces perennial challenges: escalating costs, an ageing population, and the ever-present demand for higher quality care. While incremental adjustments are routinely made, it's increasingly clear that only bold, transformative changes will truly secure its financial sustainability and enhance patient outcomes. Cassandra Palmier and her son, Makaito Cuny, have benefited from this outreach. Palmier jumped at the opportunity to get her 5-year-old vaccinated after learning that a mobile clinic...

It was the kind of celebrity death where out in the world you hear people talking about the fact Hulk Hogan died. As a figure of pop culture, Hulk Hogan is truly significant. More than anybody else, he paved the way for professional wrestling and professional wrestlers to enter the mainstream. Notably, Hogan actually played the totally-normally-named Thunderlips in "Rocky III" prior to signing with WWF (now, of course, WWE) in 1983. Professional wrestling used to be regional in scope and a niche interest...
