EB Games Canada teases full tech overhaul that includes ‘brand-new website’

The company is promising improvements related to self-serve tools, faster checkout, product discovery and more EB Games Canada has teased what it’s calling “the next chapter” of its business. In a new support page titled “What’s Next for EB Games Canada,” the retailer outlined several of its plans to improve the customer experience. Specifically, EB Games Canada says it’s working on a “full overhaul” of its technology systems, which it admits “have been due for an upgrade for some time.” Per the retailer, this will include such changes as:A brand-new websiteBetter self-serve toolsFaster checkoutImproved product discoveryDynamic shipping chargesEB Games Canada admits that this project is still in the works, and a timeline and further details will be shared as soon as possible. Mergers and acquisitions across the technology industry are going strong in 2025, as private equity firms look for outlets for capital accumulated while uncertainties around the many national elections held in 2024 resolve. That’s the view of analysts at Wolters Kluwer’s CT Corporation. Other factors favoring an increase in deal-making in 2025, they say, include lower interest rates in the US and Europe, and a favorable regulatory environment.
