The man-made object came within roughly 6,000,000 kilometres of the sun’s surface and travelled at an astonishing speed of nearly 700,000 km/h. NASA will have to wait a few days to know if the probe survived its journey, as they'll attempt to re-establish contact on Dec. 27.A NASA spacecraft may have made history, flying closer to the sun than any object sent before. Types of Electrical Switchgears and How to do Routine Maintenance on them

I. Introduction  - Brief overview of electrical switchgears An electrical switchgear is a crucial component in the power distribution system, responsible for controlling, protecting, and isolating electrical equipment. It is essential for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of electrical systems by managing the flow of electricity and preventing potential hazards such as overloads, short circuits, and faults. Switchgears come in various types and configurations, each designed to meet specific requirements and applications in different industries and environments. In this section, we will explore the key functions, components, and types of electrical switchgears to provide a comprehensive understanding of their importance in modern electrical systems.  - Importance of routine maintenance Routine maintenance is crucial for ensuring the continued functionality and efficiency of electrical switchgears. Regular inspections, testing, and servicing help to identify and address any potential issues before they...

Discovery Alert: a ‘Hot Neptune’ in a Tight Orbit

A Neptune-sized planet, TOI-3261 b, makes a scorchingly close orbit around its host star. Only the fourth object of its kind ever found, the planet could reveal clues as to how planets such as these form.An international team of scientists used the NASA space telescope, TESS (the Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite), to discover the exoplanet (a planet outside our solar system), then made further observations with ground-based telescopes in Australia, Chile, and South Africa. The measurements placed the new planet squarely in the “hot Neptune desert” – a category of planets with so few members that their scarcity evokes a deserted landscape. This variety of exoplanet is similar to our own Neptune in size and composition, but orbits extremely closely to its star. In this case, a “year” on TOI-3261 b is only 21 hours...

NASA spacecraft launched toward Jupiter’s Europa to see if ice-covered moon could host life

Science NASA spacecraft launched toward Jupiter's Europa to see if ice-covered moon could host life NASA finally launched a spacecraft from Florida on Monday on a mission to examine whether Jupiter's moon, Europa, has conditions suitable to support life. The launch had been delayed a week due to Hurricane Milton.
