Pune Info : Voter turnout increased in Pune;  This year, 50 percent voting in Pune, 47 percent in Shirur

m. Ta. Pradati, Pune: ‘Who is the MP of Pune’ has been the topic of discussion for the past one and a half months in various circles of the city. Finally, the voting was held on Monday. Around 50.50 percent polling for the Lok Sabha in civilized Pune till 6 pm. About 47.50 percent polling for the prestigious Shirur Lok Sabha and about 52.30 percent for the Maval Lok Sabha. The voting percentage has increased in Pune this year as compared to the last election. The preliminary estimates revealed that the percentage of Shirur and Maval has fallen.

From Pune, Muralidhar Mohol, Ravindra Dhangekar, Amol Kolhe from Shirur, Shivajirao Adharao and Sanjog Waghere and Srirang Barane from Maval, the curiosity of who will go to the Lok Sabha will continue till June 4.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Congress’s Rahul Gandhi, Shiv Sena’s Uddhav Thackeray, Nationalist Congress Sharad Chandra Pawar Party President Sharad Pawar, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, MNS President Raj Thackeray, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel and many leaders including Pune, Maval , Mahayuti and Mahavikas Aghadi meetings were held in Shirur Constituency. The campaign had reached its peak with recriminations and criticisms. Therefore, there were signs that this election would be a tight one.

From Pune Lok Sabha Constituency, Muralidhar Mohol from Mahayuti and Ravindra Dhangekar from Congress Mahavikas Aghadi stood against each other in the arena. Vanchit nominated Vasant More. Campaigning was done by holding padayatras, rallies and meetings since last month. Both the candidates emphasized on how Pune will develop and what will be the development agenda of Pune and appealed to the voters to vote. In Shirur, Mahayuti’s Shivaji Rao Adha Rao claimed to have done development work by maintaining public relations. Dr. claimed to have done the development work by presenting the issues of the constituency to the central government. Fox did. Srirang Barane and Sanjog Waghere from Maval showed confidence in doing development work.

Last time there was 49.87 percent voting in Pune. Compared to that, it is now clear that the percentage of votes will increase in Pune. While in Shirur and Maval, the voting was 59.44 and 59.57 percent respectively. From that, it will be clear today, later in the evening, whether the percentage of votes will remain the same or decrease in both the constituencies this year.
