The federal authorities has declared Tuesday and Wednesday, April 9 and 10, 2024, as public holidays to designate the Eid-el-Fitr event.

The Minister of Internal, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, made this identified in an announcement on Sunday by the ministry’s permanent secretary, Aishetu Ndayako.

The minister congratulated all Muslims for the winning completion of the fasting within the holy month of Ramadan.

He suggested them to imbibe and practise the virtues that entail kindness, like, tolerance, peace, moral neighbourliness, and compassion, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).

“The Federal Authorities of Nigeria has declared Tuesday, ninth and Wednesday, tenth April, 2024 as public holidays to designate Eid-el-Fitr event,” the statement stated.

“The Minister of Internal, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, congratulates all Muslim Ummah for the winning completion of the fasting within the holy month of Ramadan.

“Tunji-Ojo calls on Muslim Ummmah to imbibe and practise the virtues that entails kindness, like, tolerance, peace, moral neighbourliness, compassion as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon Him).

“He suggested Nigerians to continue within the spirit of team spirit in notify to purple meat up and develop peace and oneness within the nation.

“The minister wants all Muslim Ummah a satisfied Eid-el-Fitr event and prays that the peace, blessings, and favour of Allah be with everybody and our colossal nation.”
