City People Head Of TV, SUNDAY ADIGUN, met with star actor, Ijebu, and he shed more light on his relationship with Feranmi Spiritual. Excerpt.
One person that we know is very close to you is Feranmi Spiritual. What is your relationship with her?
My relationship with Feranmi Spiritual Empire started about three or four years ago. A colleague of mine, Kemi Akorede, reached out and mentioned that they were looking for influencers to collaborate with. I was intrigued and agreed to connect. When Feranmi called, she invited me to her office, and I happily accepted.
During my visit, I took the time to review the materials she provided and signed on with them. Since then, Feranmi has been incredibly supportive. We’ve travelled together to places like America and London, and I truly believe that when your intentions are genuine, nothing can hold you back.
How do you take that news circulating everywhere that you guys are dating? How did you feel when you first heard about it?
When I woke up, my wife called me. I checked the caption and the video she mentioned, and then I called her back. I asked her what she thought of it, and she was just laughing. Then she asked how business was going in Ijebu Ilisan. I told her it was going well, and she wanted to know when I would be coming home. That was our conversation.
So what kind of woman is Feranmi spiritual empire to you?
She’s a wonderful and prayerful woman. Since the day I met her, she has been incredibly supportive. There have been times when I’ve needed a little financial help, even when it wasn’t the scheduled time for me to receive my ambassadorial payment. I might say, “I need about 500k,” and she would promptly ask for my account details and send it to me. Not many people would do that, so we really look out for each other.
So what are we expecting from you again? You have done a lot of productions, so are we expecting more productions? Are you expecting more hotels?
By the grace of God, we have another opening coming up in June or July—a hotel and an apartment I built for my family in America. We’re planning a grand opening event, and it will be a significant occasion. City People will be there to help promote it, so everyone will know that there’s a standout hotel in Ileshan.
In addition to that, my movie, “Ile Baba Mi” (My Father’s Land), is set to be released soon. I’ve also established my business in Ilisan and plan to start a film village in Ilisan. The Kabiyesi of Ilisan, along with several individuals from London, has reached out to me about available land. They have mentioned that there are many acres we can use, so I just need to communicate the amount I have in mind, and they’ll provide the land for the film village. We hope this will attract more people to Ilisan and enhance our production efforts.
