Another prison inmate has denied murdering disgraced former Lostprophets fontman Ian Watkins. Watkins, 48, died after an alleged attack last October at HMP Wakefield, where he was serving a 29-year sentence for child sexual offences.

On Friday, Rashid Gedel, 25, referred to as Rico Gedel in court, became the second serving prisoner to plead not guilty to murdering Watkins. His co-accused Samuel Dodsworth, 43, denied the offence at a hearing in November, appearing on a video link from prison. A new poll has projected Reform UK could be the biggest party in Senedd after May’s election. The newly-released poll puts Reform UK ahead of Plaid Cymru by seven points and if it was reflected in the result it would give the party 36 seats with Plaid sitting behind on 26.

Latest Met Office weather maps show where snow will fall in Wales today

Many places in Wales will see sleet and snow today, Friday, February 13, as the wet weather makes way for colder conditions. Forecasters have hinted that a change is on the way after a particularly wet few weeks, with the unsettled conditions making way for brighter, albeit colder spells.

This drop in temperature means the risk of snow has returned. The Met Office has issued yellow snow and ice weather warnings due to the plummeting temperatures, covering parts of northern England and the majority of Scotland on Friday.

While there are no weather warnings in force for Wales yet, the cold snap is also expected to bring hill snow to much of the country – and there is a chance this snow could accumulate over higher ground. Mid and north Wales will see most of the snow, but the is a chance the wintry conditions could reach some parts of south Wales later this evening. See the forecast here
