Top Stories Tamfitronics Gun violence in Philadelphia has become a national news story, but 22-year-old resident Isaiah Stanton knows about the gun crisis there firsthand.Last year, he opened up the Citizen app, which provides location-based safety alerts, only to find out that his brother Ronald Wimberley, a jokester with a big personality and a bigger laugh, had been fatally shot.Wimberely was 26 when he was killed in Philadelphia. His case remains unsolved and no arrests have been made. He had a daughter named Naomi, loved dirt bikes and enjoyed gardening.“After his passing, it really inspired me just to go like 10 times harder,” Stanton said. “My brother, he’s watching me. Four proposals from 10 submissions were chosen to enter a detailed design phase in September 2023.Now, two teams have won through, CMSEO announced during a Oct. 29 press conference. This includes supply constraints in the space sector that are hampering the manufacturing of military satellites.“This is an incredibly important issue,” Carla Zeppieri, Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Resilience, said during a Pentagon press briefing.“Single sources of supply is a problem across the industrial base,” noted Laura Taylor-Kale, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Industrial Base Policy.Zeppieri said risks tied to “single sources” and “fragile sources” of critical components in the defense supply chain are among the issues addressed in the newly released National Defense Industrial Strategy Implementation Plan.The unclassified version of the plan highlights measures to strengthen domestic manufacturing for defense purposes and increase supply...
Avio picks developer for first US rocket motor production facility
