Nigerias entertainment industry has been thrown into mourning following the death of renowned live band leader and music icon, Akinloye Tofowomo, popularly known as Akiin Shuga. In an official family statement released on Monday, the family confirmed that the revered musician and founder of Shuga Band and Shuga Entertainment passed away in New Brunswick, Canada. The statement described Akiin Shuga as more than a musician, portraying him as a custodian of rhythm, culture, and the spirit of performance. For over three decades, Akiin Shuga stood tall as one of Nigerias most respected live performers, leading his band with grace, mastery, and purpose.
