Electoral Act: This Is Just a Warning — Isaac Fayose Speaks During Protest at NASS

Businessman Isaac Fayose has described Monday’s protest at the National Assembly complex as only the beginning of a larger movement. Politics Nigeria reports that a cross-section of Nigerians converged on the National Assembly on Monday morning to demand that electronic transmission of election results be made compulsory. Despite several clarifications by the Senate following reports that it rejected electronic transmission of results, the protesters insist that lawmakers must be clear by explicitly inserting the phrase “real-time electronic transmission” in the proposed legislation. Senate announced earlier that it would hold an emergency plenary session on Tuesday to address the concerns raised. TTAP, PTI sit-in enters fourth day; roads leading to Parliament House cleared

ISLAMABAD: Roads leading to the Parliament House were cleared on Monday morning as the PTI and opposition alliance Tehreek Tahafuz-i-Ayeen Pakistan (TTAP)’s sit-in over Imran’s health entered its fourth day. The sit-in, which began on Friday, was announced hours after the Supreme Court (SC) was informed that only 15 per cent vision was left in the PTI founder’s right eye, prompting a strong response from the opposition alliance. Emergency repairs on collapsed promenade to begin

Emergency works to repair a coastal town's promenade will begin on Monday.A huge void was found under the walkway in Hunstanton, Norfolk, after part of it collapsed due to high tides and strong winds on 5 February.During the repairs, a 140m (1,450ft) stretch of the promenade between the Waterside Bar and Oasis leisure centre will remain shut.The Borough Council of King's Lynn & West Norfolk said the work would take at least two weeks to complete.Beach material had been washed away from the base of the sea wall, allowing waves to damage the ground beneath the promenade.The damage was first spotted by council officials when a sinkhole emerged on part of the walkway.Surveys then found a large void - measuring 3.5m (11.4ft) deep and 14m (45.9ft) wide in places - below.The large void has been...
