NGA to launch $700 million program to help AI make sense of satellite images

Frank Whitworth said the initiative represents the agency’s largest ever contract for data labeling, and aims to bolster NGA’s machine learning capabilities for analyzing satellite imagery and other geospatial data. The teams delivered novel food production technologies that could provide long-duration human space exploration missions with safe, nutritious, and tasty food.The competitors’ technologies address NASA’s need for sustainable food systems for long-duration habitation in space, including future Artemis missions and eventual journeys to Mars.
