Ekiti State Governor, Mr Biodun Abayomi Oyebanjihas been honoured with the prestigious Women African Tourism Board (WATB) Iconic Awardin recognition of his outstanding leadership in tourism development and the economic transformation of Ekiti State. The award was presented at the 2025 Sixth Annual Iconic Global Summit and Honoursheld at the Capital on the Park Hotel, Sandton, Johannesburg. BREAKING NEWS: Tinubu writes Senate, seeks confirmation of INEC Commissioner, NAHCON Chair

President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday wrote to the Nigerian Senate to seek the confirmation of his nomination of Retired Admiral Jamila Abubakar, as National Commissioner representing Adamawa at the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). Tinubu’s request was contained in a letter addressed to the Senate President, Godswill Akpabio. The letter which was read by Akpabio at the plenary said that his request is in line with the provision of tge 1999 constitution as amended. “In compliance with the provisions of section 154 of section 1 of the constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 as amended, I am pleased to forward for confirmation by the Senate the appointment of Adm Jamila Abubakar Sadiq retired as Commissioner representing Adamawa state at the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC. “While I hope that the Senate will consider and confirm the nominee...
