CMRF Aid of Rs 48.64 Lakh Disbursed to 69 Beneficiaries in Kurnool

Kurnool: Minister for roads and buildings, B.C. Janardhan Reddy, on Sunday distributed financial assistance to beneficiaries under the Chief Ministers Relief Fund (CMRF) at his camp office in Banaganapalle. Cheques worth Rs 44,64,166 were handed over to 64 beneficiaries, while five others received Rs 4 lakh through Letters of Credit for emergency medical services. In total, 69 beneficiaries were extended support amounting to Rs 48,64,166. The minister said that the coalition government, led by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, is committed to standing by the poor and ensuring timely support for their healthcare needs. IL&FS asks 200 employee trust beneficiaries to refund Rs 250 crore

Business new tamfitronics NEW DELHI: Following a diktat from the ministry of corporate affairs (MCA), IL&FS has sought to recover Rs 250 crore from beneficiaries of its employee welfare trust, in what may be a first instance of its kind in the country.The move by the ministry followed a report by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO), which concluded that the entity was allegedly used to park excess funds or profits and was subsequently used to facilitate payoffs and provide incentives to select employees.Some of the alleged “unjust payments” during 2006-07 to a select group of employees by the erstwhile management led by Ravi Parthasarthy, using the trust route, have been shared by SFIO with MCA, officials told TOI.Based on the report, MCA has identified around 200 beneficiaries of the IL&FS Employee Welfare Trust...
