Afenifere issues warning to MURIC leader Akintola, gives reasons

The leadership of the Afenifere group has cautioned the executive Director of the Muslim Rights Concerns (MURIC), Ishaq Akintola and other religious groups against stoking ethnic or religious violence in the Southwest region. The Yoruba socio-political group warned individuals and organisations against making incendiary statements or introducing unsecular practices capable of endangering the lives of people of Ekiti and other states in the Southwest region. In a statement issued by the chairman of its Ekiti state chapter, Gabriel Alonge, the Afenifere group called on the Department of State Services (DSS) and the police to profile and interrogate Akintola and other leaders stoking violence in the region.
