The First Lady of Salvador visiting the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation in Rabat


The First Lady of the Republic of Salvador, Ms. Gabriela Rodriguez de Bukele, visited, Monday in Rabat, the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation, under the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health.
The visit of Ms. Gabriela Rodriguez de Bukele to this center is part of the partnership linking the Lalla Asmaa Foundation and the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health in the field of scientific research on deafness.
Thanks to this participatory approach and collaboration between the two foundations, the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation contributes to the development of a medium and long -term hearing disorders research project, with the aim of achieving a general and early diagnosis on the basis of genetic characteristics.
Indeed, the center, with in particular laboratories of cell biology and immunology, molecular and genomic biology, new generation sequencing, and microbiology and infectiology, carried out research that made it possible to discover the genetic causes of hearing disorders.

On this occasion, the First Lady of the Republic of Salvador followed explanations on the various activities of the center, which was founded with the vision of being a pioneer in the field of applied medical research, a bridge between scientific discoveries resulting from fundamental research and the development of concrete applications to improve human health.
It aims to contribute to the improvement of patient health care through the development of innovative and sustainable solutions in different fields (prevention, diagnosis and treatment).
Through its multiple activities, the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation aspires to be recognized as a center of excellence where advanced research and convergent innovation to create a lasting impact, based on an interdisciplinary and collaborative approach.
Upon his arrival at the center, Ms. Gabriela Rodriguez de Bukele was welcomed by the Minister of Higher Education, Scientific Research and Innovation, Mr. Azzedine El Midaoui, the deputy director of the Mohammed VI Foundation of Sciences and Health, Mr. Youns Bjijou, the director of the Mohammed VI Center for Research and Innovation, Pr. Saber Boutayeb. of the Foundation.
