Police appeal after attack at Welsh hospital

A man has been arrested after an assault at a Welsh hospital.

Police say an incident took place at Singleton Hospital in Swansea on Monday, July 28 at 5.20pm.

A 32-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and remains in custody.

Heavy traffic reported

Traffic is heavier than normal on A469 southbound at Rue de Ploubezre (Llanbradach Roundabout) in Caerphilly.

Hold-ups on M4

There’s slow traffic on three areas of the M4.

They are:

• In Llandarcy, on the A465 westbound at M4 junction 43. Travel time is ten minutes.
• In Bassaleg, at the A467 Forge Road southbound before M4 junction 28 (Tredegar Park).
• In Llangennech, on the A4138 Pontardulais Road eastbound at M4 junction 48.

Delays in Chepstow

Slow traffic has been reported on the A466 St Lawrence Road southbound between B4293 Welsh Street (Chepstow Racecourse roundabout) and A48 / Fair View (Highbeech roundabout).

Fallen tree closes road

In Ceredigion, the A487 in both directions is closed due to a fallen tree from Maes-Y-Deri (Talybont) to North Road (Tre-R-Ddol).

It is affecting traffic between Talybont and Tre-ddol.

The Met Office has forecast the weather for Wales today.

It writes on its website: “Cloudy as a band of showers pushes southeast across the region. These may be heavy at times, with a risk of thunderstorms, primarily in the southeast. Showers easing and cloud breaking up through the afternoon. Feeling warm and humid. Maximum temperature 23 °C.”
