Nollywood actor Pope Odonwodo, popularly is named Junior Pope, reportedly handed away at 39.
His premature demise became once confirmed on Wednesday, April 10, following a devastating boat accident.
Filmmaker Sam Olatunji shared the heartbreaking info, revealing that Junior Pope, alongside with three others, misplaced their lives after their boat capsized while en path to a movie notify.
Olatunji posted a image of Junior Pope with the caption below: “Four actors including Jnr Pope fell into Anam River on their manner to notify and their bodies be pleased been recovered. What a tragic day for Nollywood.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with the family. A pair of sources ascertain this unhappy pattern to us.”

Former Senate President Bukola Saraki has commended the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Kwara State for the successful conduct of its local government congresses across the 16 councils.
Saraki, in a statement signed by his press officer on local matters, Abdulganiyu Abdulqadir, on Sunday, described the exercise as a demonstration of the PDP’s commitment to inclusiveness, fairness and internal democracy.
He said the outcome of the congresses has positioned the PDP as a credible alternative capable of restoring good governance in Kwara and across Nigeria.

Document contradicts Wike’s claim, confirms PDP NEC invitation
The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he was not invited to the National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
Speaking on Channels Television’s Politics Today on Wednesday, Wike maintained that he had no knowledge of the NEC meeting or the party’s planned national convention scheduled for November 15 and 16.

The Lagos State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC, has rejected claims linking the recent deaths of two female councillors in the state to politics, describing such suggestions as baseless and insensitive.
