Edo LP passes vote of confidence in Abure-led NWC
Top Stories Tamfitronics Busi Olaniyi, Benin May 28, 2024The Mrs. Elizabeth Ativie-led seventeen-member caretaker committee of the Labour Party (LP) in Edo State, which was inaugurated in Benin on Monday by LP’s Deputy National Chairman, Dr. Ayo Olorunfemi, has passed a vote of confidence in the Julius Abure-led National Working Committee (NWC). Ativie, a former Edo Speaker, was reacting to the invasion of LP’s national secretariat in Abuja by some members of the party.LP’s caretaker chairman in Edo said: The invaders were sponsored by some persons, who do not wish the party well. The protesters wanted to undermine the LP, as they were hired from a nearby market in Abuja. The National Chairman of LP, Barr.
