Democrats score another big Senate recruiting win: From the Politics Desk

Democrats score another big Senate recruiting win Former Sen. Sherrod Brown plans to launch a comeback bid for Senate in Ohio, a major recruiting win for Democrats who need to catch every break they can in their uphill fight for the majority in the chamber. Brown is viewed by Democrats as one of the few, if not the only, members of their party who could put the seat in the red-trending state in play next year. After serving three terms in the Senate, he lost re-election by 3.5 points last year as Donald Trump carried Ohio by 11 points. And the party in power typically faces headwinds in a midterm election. Keir Starmer’s gov tells UK residents to delete old emails and pictures to save water during drought

"Simple, everyday choices – such as turning off a tap or deleting old emails – also really help the collective effort to reduce demand and help preserve the health of our rivers and wildlife," said Helen Wakeham, the Environment Agency's director of water. (Alex Wroblewski / Getty Images) New data from the CDC suggests a grim back-to-school tradition emerging: In 2024, kindergarten vaccination rates declined for the fifth consecutive year. Meanwhile, vaccine exemptions reached a record high. These statistics became all the more disturbing last fall when, shortly after 286,000 children began their educations without proof of full immunity against measles, a man who has bragged about never getting a flu shot was reelected to the presidency. Since then,...

He Ruined Our Five-Year Relationship Because Of Somebody’s Girlfriend

At the end of December 2024, I discovered the most heartbreaking news about my supposed boyfriend. In hindsight, I should have listened to my gut. There were signs that he was up to something shady, but I was dealing with a lot around that time. I was battling some health issues, so I was always in and out of the hospital. I had also just lost my best friend. With my grieving heart and my ailing body, I didn’t have the mental energy to process the little things that didn’t add up in my boyfriend’s life.It was even harder to monitor him because he lives in Ghana while I live overseas. Of course, all our conversations happened over the phone. Despite all the barriers between us, I still caught hints that he was entertaining another...
