Patrick Mahomes’ mom responds to concerning death hoax with seven-word joke

LONDON – Randi Mahomes, the mother of NFL superstar Patrick Mahomes, has responded with humour to a concerning death hoax circulating on social media. After a fake report on Facebook claimed she had passed away, Mrs Mahomes took to X (formerly Twitter) to address the false news. The hoax originated from an unofficial "Mahomes Family" fan account, which posted a fabricated "breaking news" alert stating that she had "passed away at the age of 53". The post garnered a significant number of reactions and comments before being exposed as a falsehood. The American football matriarch had initially posted about her frustration at being unable to watch a Kansas City Chiefs pre-season game.
