‘Happenings May Not Warrant My Continued Stay In SDP’ – Senator Wadada Says After Meeting With Tinubu

The lawmaker representing Nasarawa West in the 10th Senate, Senator Ahmed Aliyu Wadada, has hinted at leaving the Social Democratic Party (SDP) for the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC). Naija News reports that Wadada dropped the hint on Tuesday after a closed-door meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Although he has yet to make a formal declaration, the lawmaker said he already considers himself a member of the APC. While he did not give specific reasons for his planned defection, he suggested that current political realities might not favour his continued stay in the SDP. The senator expressed strong confidence in President Tinubu's political strength, insisting no opposition party would have the space or support to challenge his re-election bid.
