Politics tamfitronics The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has rejected the outcome of the Labour Party National Convention held in Nnewi, Anambra State on March 27, 2024. POLITICS NIGERIA reports that this is the convention where Julius Abure was reelected as National Chairman.This convention has been deemed invalid due to contraventions of the Labour Party Constitution, Electoral Act 2022, and INEC Guidelines and Regulations for Political Parties 2022.In a letter to the Abure-led National Working Committee (NWC), INEC confirmed receipt of their application for a certified copy of the convention document. However, the commission stated that it did not monitor the convention and therefore cannot report on it.The letter, signed by Ag Secretary Haliru Aminu and dated July 18, is as follows:
